Business in Briefs: Thanks!

A Note about Academic Integrity

In light of the recent allegations about academic misconduct, a few students have asked if I will continue to post my summaries of The Economist. A few points:

1. I started this blog because I realized there was no on-line summary of The Economist and I felt that a free, ad-supported review of the articles would be a fun and rewarding endeavor.

2. My readership statistics/analytics show that many people other than students in MBA820 at Ohio State read this site.

3. Reviewing my notes about The Economist prior to the quiz is unquestionably different than copying your neighbor's answer during the quiz.

4. The 'question' polls are my attempts to guess which issues are most interesting. The polls have and will continue to close at 8:30 AM on Wednesdays so the results are not reflective of any knowledge of the quiz.

5. I will continue to spend 7-8 hours each weekend writing my summaries of The Economist because I think there is a large audience (not just MBA students) that would like to read the magazine cover-to-cover but can't. Maybe 'Business in Briefs' will cover other magazines if I can find a few other writers, but in the meantime, I'll also continue writing because I'm having fun.
